Unryu paper, commonly referred to as mulberry or rice paper with its strands of kozo fiber, is a staple for any crafter or artist's paper collection. This white, extra lightweight paper offers a delicate translucency, beautiful for use as shoji screens or luminaries, chin colle and collage.
Long, swirling strands of kozo provide subtle contrast and texture in this traditional style unryus. A lightweight translucent paper available in a wide spectrum of colors ranging from soft pastels to rich, vibrant hues. Some of our Black Ink unryu papers are also available with inclusions such as chips of mulberry bark, mango stems and leaves, gold or silver threads, and pieces of newspaper.
